Exchange with Cyril Coniglio, the best wine merchant in France 2018

Cyril Coniglio, the best wine waiter in France

Cyril has a classic sommelier background and graduated from a hotel school. The doors of magnificent establishments opened to him: the Paul Bocuse restaurant as well as the Paul Ricard Circuit Palace. After this career as a sommelier, our wine merchant from Auvergne became a wine and spirits salesman. And this, for 10 beautiful years. In 2013, he decided to open his first shop: Rhone Magnum located in Pont-de-l'Isère. The opening of this cellar was motivated by the desire to rediscover the exchange and sharing that one can have with one's customers. The first Rhone Magum shop offers a range of wines, spirits and beers, and also has a grocery section. In just a few years, its first shop has grown from 150 to 450 products, and the traffic is great! And that's thanks to the title of best wine merchant that he won in 2018

A shop designed for its customers

In 2022, the owner of Rhone Magnum had a great opportunity to open a second wine cellar in Bourg-lès-Valence, near Valence. Since the people of the town did not come to Pont-de-l'Isère, he came to them! This new shop is much bigger than the first one, and offers more than 1,000 references of wines, spirits and beers. For the layout of this new shop, Cyril drew up the plans himself, based on the problems encountered in his first shop. He noticed that the customers who frequented his shop did not dare to serve themselves.

He therefore designed his new layout by choosing practical furniture to encourage his new customers to serve themselves directly from the shelves and wine display units. He set up displays with presentation bottles for customers to touch and look at. Then, each shelf has numbered racks for customers to find their way around: one type of wine, one rack. For this new business, the wine merchant from Auvergne wanted to opt for solid wood furniture, adapted and solid, in order to display his bottles.

Cyril chose the colour Noir Charbonneux because the initial layout of the shop was designed in an industrial style with exposed metal beams, spotlight railings and walls painted in grey and black. This colour was an obvious choice for him. The Noir Charbonneux allows the bottle labels to stand out and creates a chic atmosphere in the shop.

Quality furniture for independent retailers

Cyril found us on the website of another shop while doing his research on the Internet. Seduced by the furniture we offer at Tradis, he contacted our customer service to help him with his quotation and the choice of furniture adapted to his needs. Our customer service department accompanied him from the first contact until the order was finalised.

We know that during a shop opening, the shopkeepers want everything to go smoothly, and this is why Cyril Coniglio is very satisfied with his experience with Tradis. As the furniture was delivered assembled, he was able to place his new furniture in his shop directly, and this also allowed him to avoid a DIY session, and to have an operational shop. The delivery times initially announced were perfectly respected.

Cyril trusted us for the purchase of his furniture, because Tradis offers furniture adapted to the needs of wine shops.
